True spirit of Judo is
nothing but the gentle and diligent free spirit.
Judo rests on flexible
action of mind and body.
The word flexible however
never means weakness
but something more like
adaptability and open-mindedness.
Gentleness always overcomes
strength.
Kyuzo Mifune 1883-1965

This homepage is
about judo as a way of life. In the spirit of the founders:

and the
justification of Mitesco: the colophon, restrictions and
disclaimer...
Mitesco. In Latin it means: "I become gentle, mild, open-minded,
respectful, friendly".
Written with idealism, for judokas who want to study and think about the
noble principles.

Just because Mitesco is a
Dutchman, he apologizes for his often improper use of the English
language on this website. He tries to translate in the best way
possible. But in case you would find horrible failures, please tell him.
He is open to corrections, and as a real judoka, convinced that he
learns most from his mistakes...!
